CSA
Community Supported Agriculture
A CSA is a subscription based farm fresh food program, that brings consumers together with a
local farmer. The consumer purchases in advance shares of the farm's next season's harvest.
In return for this investment the shareholder receives a weekly share of the best tasting,
freshest possible, locally grown produce.

You develop a relationship of trust and friendship with a farmer...
AND...
You will be eating the best tasting food you've ever had!
FAQ
How much produce can I expect in my weekly share?
You will receive approximately 1/2 bushel per week for a full summer share and 1/2 bushel every other week for a
winter share. This should be enough for a family of four, or for two vegetarians. A half share is approximately half of a
full share, and should feed two persons or one vegetarian. However, the amounts and varieties will vary over the coarse
of the season.

Where can I pick-up my share?
Shares can be picked up at the farm. However, when you purchase your share you may  arrange delivery to one of
several area pick-up points. A delivery charge will be added to your share for this option.

Can I have my share delivered to my home?
Yes. Home delivery can be arranged.

Can I specify what comes in my share?
No. Shares are put together by what is ready for harvest at that time. Everyone's shares are standardized, this ensures
all shareholders get a wide variety of produce.

Can I change my share mid-season?
Yes. BUT, only to upgrade or increase your share.

What are my responsibilities?
Pay for your share at the beginning of the season or according to payment arrangements.
Pick up shares at the designated time and place.

Is the produce certified Organic?
No. We chose not to become certified organic due to government invasiveness and restrictions it would place on our
livestock on the farm. However, You can rest assured that no unneccassary fertilizers or pesticides are used in their
production.

How long is the growing season?
20 to 26 weeks. The Summer season starts around the first of May and continues until the end of October. Winter
shares are also available and will be offered for purchase in July.

How fresh will my share be?
Less than 24 hours old. Typically your share will be picked the day of pick-up.

What if I miss my pick-up?
Prior arrangements must be made at least 24 hours before pick-up. However if you miss a pick-up without notice, your
produce will be donated to the needy or return to the farm for composting. We do not double up on the next weeks
delivery for missed pick-ups.
